Many others help during the sales and four members serve on the board of the Friends group. A group of members is also active in maintaining the gardens at the library, keeping them looking lovely all year round.
Lunch BunchMembers of the club meet the first Thursday of each month except December at a different restaurant. Restaurants are selected based on member suggestions, and favorites are re-visited occasionally based on popular demand. Participation is voluntary but enthusiastic. Check the calendar to find out when and where the next Lunch Bunch will meet.

Teacher AppreciationMembers of WFCWC put together goodie baskets for teachers at Greenbriar East Elementary and Greenbriar West Elementary to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. We also included framed poems celebrating teachers by one of our members, who was a teacher for many years until she retired.
Books for African Library ProjectWFCWC supported a neighborhood book drive to create a school library in Lesotho, a small, mountainous kingdom in Southern Africa. The book drive was on behalf of the African Library Project (https://www.africanlibraryproject.org/), which establishes libraries in rural communities in English-speaking countries in Africa through partnerships with local organizations that specialize in education, library or community development. Club members donated 95 new and used books, ranging from science, math, reference, art, classics, black pride, personal growth, fiction, etc., for 4th through 8th graders.
